Charlie's hips are rated in the 90th percentile with PennHip. This means that his hips are better than 90% of all tested miniature poodles!
Papa Charlie
Charlie is a miniature poodle. His color ranges from chocolate to cafe, depending on the lighting. My mom loves Charlie so much that she wants to adopt him for herself! When she was recovering from shoulder surgery, Charlie would lay on her lap for hours while she slept in the recliner. He would lay perfectly still the whole time. Yet at the same time, he has more energy than all the other dogs put together!
Charlie is 16 inches tall and 18 pounds. He has really long legs, a trait that is passed on to his puppies. His eyes are milk chocolate in color and are "puppy eyes", that look that causes any dog lover to just melt. He ends up getting pretty much anything he wants when he turns those eyes on one of us! Most of Charlie's puppies inherit both the beautiful color and the "puppy eyes" look.
All of our dogs absolutely adore the pond including Charlie. He will head for the pond as soon as we let him out of his kennel. Then he runs back at full speed to say hello and get his ears rubbed. He is very sweet and loves being held. His ideal day includes at least an hour of snuggling with one of "his" humans.
Charlie has been tested for every possible genetic disorder or disease that is frequently seen in poodles, even those that are not common in the miniature poodle. He does not carry any of the unwanted genes.
